i am a resedential new installation plumber.I bought the hackzall about 1 year ago, and let me tell you this saw is a life saver. it is quick and versitile. i mostly do a lot of topout's and fixture trims. on topout the battery life is good i can go about half a day on 1 battery,but i have 2 so i can usually go about the whole day. on trim i can set about 5 houses before i have to change 1 battery. so it works very exceptional on trim. the other day i went to go rough in a 2 and a half bath house. i did the whole house on 1 battery. i was amazed. thats with cutting pvc and rebar stakes to stake up the pipe for fall. i love this saw . and everyday i am very glad i purchased it.

I have to say this is one of the best tools ever made. I bought the thing just for under sink cutting. It does the job perfect. I have allways said the best tool made was the sawsall and now it has a little brother. If you do plumbing under sinks or in tight places you will love this tool. I would have given this tool five stars if the battery lasted alittle longer.

Fairly well balanced and light weight. Battery does not last very long, but recharges quickly.

Works best for relatively delicate carving in softer materials (drywall, wood framing, etc.), basically remodeling type cutting that would be a challenge not to overcut with a traditional sawzall.

I got this hoping it would work well for cutting 1/2" EMT conduit. It will do this task, but cuts through the metal slow enough, that it is worth dealing with the cord to use a normal sawzall. Despite not working well at the task I got it for, I've found enough other odd-ball tasks to make it worth having for me.

If you already have a larger sawzall and need something for more delicate work, this could work for you. For heavier cutting or any metal, I'd recommend a bigger sawzall.

This was perfect for what i wanted.Had trouble with one batt.which was EVENT.

replaced.Batt.run time is very short but tool is the size i wanted.I would recommend this product.

My husband just got this tool for his birthday and he was very disappointed, I could see it cutting through wood and some stuff around the house but that's it. He went through 3 different charged milwaukee batteries in a minute and it still did not cut through a small thin pipe. He is an HVACR mechanic and this tool will not be usefull for his work. The tool had no power and would not cut through what it was described to cut through. Hopefully we will be able to return this and get something more useful.
